Playing Bowls at East Maitland Bowling Club

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear Member

The Club is happy to report that at a meeting of the Board of Directors held Monday 4th May 2020, a decision was made to re-open the Bowling greens for roll-ups beginning on Tuesday 12th May 2020.

This decision was made after much discussion and consultation. Additional information had been sourced from the Clubs industry representatives and the Club has also noted the positive reduction of COVID-19 spread throughout the nation.

It is acknowledged that there is more to do, and that strict conditions will be maintained to facilitate the re-opening.  The Club still values the safety of our patrons and staff and will be calling on you, the member, to adhere to the regulations that we set.  These are for your own safety and for the safety of others with zero-tolerance provided for non-compliance.

It must be noted that your decision to Roll-up at the club should be made after reviewing all current information regards Covid-19 and will be AT YOUR OWN RISK.

MEMBERS FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION MAY BE TAKEN.

Should it be determined that the Conditions set out below cannot be maintained the Board will have no option but to close the Greens.

‘DON’T BE THE ONE THAT RUINS IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE’

In closing we wish to state that the Club supports the recommendations from the Federal Government and Health Services that those individuals over the age of seventy (70) years or that are vulnerable should refrain from playing and stay at home. In accordance with the recommendation, the responsibility remains with the individual.

See you on the Greens!!
